Is it okay to give baby a bath, then go out?

I have a two-week-old baby. I really want to give him a bath because he had phototherapy for jaundice and it made his skin really peel everywhere. We also want to go out in a couple of hours though, to a store, and it's really cold out, below freezing. Obviously he would be bundled up really well. Is this okay?
He is ok now... The phototherapy made the jaundice go away.

moisturize his skin with Vaseline if he is just dry and peeling. No need to bathe, but if you really think he needs a bath and not a wipe down then do it now since you have time before you step out, let his hair and skin dry so that you dont have to over dress him. warm the car obviously , he will be fine. My son 2.5 months now hates to be bundled and never liked being swaddled after a week old.soon as you zip his lil coat he is screaming...lol
