where can i find a life drawing class (nude art)?
hi,
im looking to be a model for a nude art class but i dont know how to find any. does anyone know where i can find a list of colleges or universities that include a life class?
Call the art departments at the colleges in your area. Ask to speak with the person that schedules models for the studio classes. usually they're called a model coordinator. When you speak with the coordinator be polite & positive telling them you no experience as a figure model but would like to model at the school. They might tell you they have models scheduled for all their classes. That's ok because now you ask them to place your name and phone number on their model list so the next time they schedule models they have your name. It also doesn't hurt to ask them to consider you for modeling if a scheduled model cancels out for some reason or another, it does happen. If they call you need to be ready to pose, if they call and you are unable to pose when they need you they'll probably not call back. It can take some time so have patience they will call at some point. It's really worthwhile to contact as many places as possible looking for work.
