Why do people think that a name will help a person throughout their life?
When its their actions that make an impact. Let's take someone like Paris Hilton, who acts like a total bimbo, and only does charity work when forced to. Anyway people think that giving their kids unusual names will help them become great people and this isn't always so.
Yes, your right...the name doesn't make the person, the person makes the person. Just because you name your child something unique or something with a good meaning it doesn't mean that they will be unique or have good morals but the same goes for normal names. Just because you name your kid John, Elizabeth, Katherine or Susy, it doesn't mean that they'll be normal either. Names are just something to call someone, not who they actually become,so I think everyone should give parents a break who name their kids "unusual" names just because they want theyre kid to be different.....theyll realize soon that their kids are going to be who they are going to be whether they were named Samantha or Samali'ah.
