How can I receive press releases?

May / freelancers and bloggers have access to press releases? I am looking for more content and would like to know how I can be added to email lists, etc. for distribution of press release. It would be for the following industries: fashion, lifestyle, and interests of women. Thank you in advance!

There is no single source for press releases. Most come from companies, so you have to contact the public relations department of all major companies in industries you are interested in. Tell them that you are a freelancer for (regardless of publication), or you have a popular blog (www.whatever your URL is). Some companies will put you on a list from the start, and others will not give you the time of day. If your blog becomes popular enough, they will all flock to your door, but until then you will have to settle for what you can get. I warn you that you are asking a lot, and I mean a lot of mail. Opening the mail will soon be a great part of your day, every day. You go through a lot of boring things before you find a gold nugget.
