Therapy/psychiatry for anger/anxiety/personality disorders on a sliding fee scale in Maine?
The specific issues I need help with are constant, latent anger, anxiety and possible personality and/or bipolar disorders. I am poor, beyond poor... I cannot afford costly weekly therapy sessions, but feel that the cheaper and more readily available option of taking a weekly class/support group is not personal nor intense enough for the problems I face. These things are causing harm to my personal relationships and I realize now they may have ruined a few others along the way. I admit I have problems, now how do I fix them with no $ and no insurance?!?!? If anyone can give me any good leads in the state of Maine, any assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Check out Acadia Hospital in Bangor. It's part of the Eastern Maine Med system. They're pretty good at working with people without $ or insurance.
