What are the photo slides?
I have a bunch of vintage slides to list on ebay. One may wonder Photo Type: Negative, gelatin silver, platinum, etc. I do not know. They are just slides from the 1950s.
slides are made from a cellulose-based material that is coated with a chemical light sensitive. The chemical, normally a silver halide reacts to light. When the film is developed the chemical bath causes the light-sensitive material to darken depending on the amount of light that was exposed. The following process, called the stop bath stops the development process. It is followed by a bath to correct it makes the material exposed photosensitive more sensitive to light. the last process called washing clean all the chemicals off. A "negative" slide is as its name suggests. If you look at the bright parts of the picture look dark and dark look for the light. It is mainly intended for used to create impressions. Gelatin is normally used to describe the support material that holds the photosensitive material. Money & Platinum is used to describe what the light sensitive material is made from the best way to know what the blades are is to look the edges of the slide. there is normally some sort of description or information manufacturers there.
