Why do comic writers insist on bringing a character back?
I don't understand why a character can't stay dead. It may just be me being frustrated but frankly when say Colossus died I was sad but I wish he had stayed dead. Same with Psylocke. i just pray to the gods of comics they don't find a way to bring Steve Rogers back. So my question is what is the driving force behind a comic writer bringing a dead character back? Is it the fans? What?
Why do they bring back dead characters in comics ?..Well for one to create some buzz about a book in which the sales have been slumping. They don't just kill people and bring them back for the sake of it. They kill off characters to further the storyline..like they did with Captain America.
As to why they bring them back..it's a combination of a lot of factors..the top reasons are1) Cause once the character is dead back issues and current issues are being bought up by fans and collectors.2) There is a storyline to have some sort of impact as a whole that allows the character to come back and 3) Mostly due to outraged fans( fanboys and girls) cause they killed a certain character that was there favorite.
