Food for Thought! A daily dose of history, Where did food Originate?.....?

Claude Monet visits London for the first time and paints views of the Thames. Whilst in England's capital city he has grown very fond of Yorkshire pudding. The French artist has an interest in cookery and claims to have originated ceps (an edible fungi) in olive oil. Back home in France he serves beautifully prepared homemade meals using whatever his garden or farmyard can supply.
Henri De Toulouse-Lautrec, the French artist, is painting with great psychological insight the personalities ans aspects of Paris. An excellent amateur cook, he has created such original recipes as plums in rum and grilled grasshoppers, seasoned with salt and pepper.
In Britain the first packet of multi-colored Licorice Allsorts is created by accident when a salesman knocks over his tray of samples, scattering candy all over the counter. The customer likes the look of the different candy all mixed up and immediately places an order.
What is it with you, buddy? Food originated when the caveman got hungry and killed himself a dinosaur. Boy, was he happy when he discovered fire!!!!
